My experience: Molly Williams

At the start of Tuesday morning I was feeling a bit hyped from too much caffeine and nerves, as I’d never done anything like this before. First of all, Natasha told us a bit about the project, how it came about and where it may go – although it’s difficult to say at the moment as it’s just the start.

As soon as the workshop began and we all throw ourselves into the exercises (I suppose we all knew there was no time to hold back) my nerves left me.

We started with a word association game and then the opposite of that (dissassociation game?)

We then wrote down the first 100 words that came into our mind.

My list began with ‘dishevelled’ and ended with ‘chattering’. Not sure what that says about me, but I was very relieved to find that I knew 100 words.

By the time we came to write our 100 words we had tried writing scenes with 10 and then 20 words, and managed to look at subjects such as grief, family relations and farm-life (!) and so knew a lot could be achieved with 100.

Unfortunately I was unable to see the end results but I thoroughly enjoyed the process and can’t wait to see what happens from here.
